Great, you've reached that point where your contacts bombard you daily with WhatsApp stickers, and you want to create your own designs to respond appropriately. The good news is that you don't even need a computer. Once you've downloaded the reference images, the rest is about getting an app, and today we're going to share two options.
Making WhatsApp stickers is easy
At first it seems like black magic, but there's nothing to worry about. While there are more complex designs with animations and other details, making WhatsApp stickers is as simple as taking an image, cropping the main object, and saving the result with a transparent background. Now, many users imagine themselves having a fierce struggle with the computer, but the truth is very different. If you're willing to accept some ads, the process of editing, uploading, and creating WhatsApp stickers will never leave your mobile device.
How to make WhatsApp stickers with Sticker Maker
Sticker Maker helps us create packs of 30 stickers
The first step is to tap the option Create a new sticker pack and give it a name. Then, Sticker Maker's interface offers a grid where we can define an icon and up to 30 stickers. When loading an image, Sticker Maker will present different cropping methods, but I recommend trying the Smart Selection first, which, except for one or two exceptions, works quite well.
Another possibility the editor gives us is to add text with different effects, or a border with seven available colors and a slider to change its thickness. The last step is to tap the Add to WhatsApp option, and the messenger will receive the new pack without issues (as always, you'll need to look for it in the stickers section).
Creating WhatsApp stickers with Own Sticker Maker
Own Sticker Maker uses an "artificial intelligence cutout"
A direct alternative to Sticker Maker is Own Sticker Maker (yes, all these apps have similar names). The most important difference is that its interface doesn't use a grid, but we don't see that as a problem. When cropping images, Own Sticker Maker presents an "artificial intelligence system". To choose it, you'll need to tap the Cutout option, followed by the AI icon. Once again, the exact performance will depend on the type of image, but I think it's a step above Sticker Maker's smart selection.
Where Own Sticker Maker definitely gains an advantage is in the list of options for editing each sticker. It supports a large number of fonts, and color/border/background/shadow/alignment options for the text. As if that weren't enough, the editor also allows injecting emojis into stickers. The only problem with Own Sticker Maker? It becomes a bit heavy with ads, but that's something we've gotten used to in free apps.
In summary
The Google store is full of applications for making WhatsApp stickers, but the ones we've mentioned here are a good starting point, and in a matter of minutes you'll be able to respond to the sticker bombardment with your own ammunition. Try it!
