PropertySystemView: View and Edit File Properties

PropertySystemView is a program from the acclaimed company Nirsoft, which has developed many and very useful tools. With this environment you can easily view file attributes, as well as reorganize columns, view files in order (ascending and descending), edit property values, etc. Using a filter from the tool you can find several strings, search for a record with all words, search only visible ones, and find elements that match the filter.

How to use PropertySystemView

The first thing you have to do, obviously, is download PropertySystemView on your computer. When you run it, you have three methods to load files into the program.

You have to click on the dropdown menu to see the options:

• Load properties by providing the file path.
• Load the list of all properties on your system.
• Load properties of the Windows identifier.

To see the results you have to press the "Go" button or press the "F8" key. At this point you can use filters to sort the results that will be listed in the interior part of the platform (search strings, only visible columns, elements that match filters, etc.). You can also use the search bar to insert a keyword and see the custom result.

How to edit the results

After the searches, you will see the following columns: Canonical name, Raw value, Display name, Formatted value, Read-only, Property type, Property key, etc. You can drag and drop the column as required or sort the results in ascending and descending order. By double-clicking on the file you can edit the name and value of the properties and show the time in GMT (you can do this action in batch).
